The Role

Join our team at Happy Yolk! We're on the lookout for an experienced and ambitious Social Media Account Director to join our award-winning team in Shoreditch. As part of our talented social media specialists, you'll lead client accounts, drive engaging social media and influencer programmes, and provide strategic advice to a diverse range of consumer and corporate clients.

We need someone with a genuine passion for social media and influencers, along with a knack for brand strategy and communications. You should have experience in setting up and managing successful social campaigns, whether in-house or at a social or PR agency. Deep understanding of social strategy, channels (paid, organic, and influencer), and the ability to derive insights from data is a must. And let's not forget about content and creative best practices!

Collaboration is key here at Happy Yolk. You'll work closely with our team on new business opportunities and agency growth. Strategic planning skills and strong presentation skills are a must.

How you'll spend your time:
  • Taking the lead in managing and energising client accounts, ensuring a seamless understanding of all client activity.
  • Keep projects on track, making sure they're completed within budget and on time.
  • Drive the weekly work planning process, fostering clarity within the team regarding their responsibilities and ensuring everyone meets their delivery deadlines.
  • Build strong, vibrant relationships with clients, anticipating their needs, and proactively addressing any concerns that may arise.
  • Embrace the challenge of understanding key objectives and success metrics, providing valuable feedback, strategic guidance, and recommendations that align with the client's business goals and exceed expectations.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly data reports, uncovering valuable insights and results. Use your data analysis skills to transform raw information into actionable steps for improvement.
  • Take pride in supporting and inspiring Happy Yolk's junior team, motivating them to enhance their skills and contribute to our exceptional social media services across multiple clients.
  • Collaborate with our talented content creation team on campaign shoots, occasionally embarking on overseas travels.
  • Report directly to Happy Yolk's Head of Social and Brand Advocacy, providing invaluable support in new business pitches and uncovering growth opportunities.
  • Develop a sharp commercial awareness and a solid grasp of agency finances. Proactively identify revenue-generating prospects and provide support in capacity planning, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for each account.
What we need from you:
  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Genuine love for social media and influencer marketing.
  • Watertight knowledge of all social platforms - preferably Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Linkedin, Snapchat and Pinterest.
  • Strong experience working and briefing talent, influencers and creators and managing relationships and content delivery.
  • Adept at strategically planning a digital/social programmes for brands
  • Adept with social and influencer management, tracking and reporting tools (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Traackr, BuzzSumo) 
  • Creative thinking skills to identify proactive ideas, social trends, tactics, influencer activations and contribute to brainstorms for bigger campaign activations.
  • Strong leadership qualities, able to drive change and lead accounts with can do attitude.
  • Experience prioritising tasks, managing deadlines, adapting with changing priorities, and balancing short-term needs with long-term strategic initiatives.
  • Process oriented with excellent attention to detail. 
  • Ability to adapt, learn quickly, be resourceful and under pressure and to deadline.
  • A willingness to travel occasionally for campaigns and shoots.
